Sound Codes

Sound codes, also known as mantras, are a powerful tool used in ancient technology practices such as meditation and yoga. Mantras are short, powerful sound vibrations that are repeated either aloud or internally to help focus the mind and achieve a state of inner calm and centeredness. The use of mantras in these practices is rooted in the belief that sound vibrations have a powerful effect on the human body and mind.

In addition to chanting mantras, listening to them is another effective way to incorporate these sound codes into your daily practice of ancient technology. By listening to a mantra, you can allow its vibrations to permeate your being and help you establish a positive and focused vibe for the day. For example, you can listen to a prosperity mantra song while showering to help establish a positive and abundant energy for the day ahead.

The benefits of incorporating mantras into your daily practice of ancient technology are numerous. By listening to or chanting mantras, you can quiet the mind and enter a state of deep relaxation and inner calm. This can help reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm, allowing you to approach your day with a greater sense of clarity and focus. Additionally, the use of mantras in ancient technology practices can help cultivate a sense of connection to something greater than yourself, whether that be a higher power, the universe, or simply the present moment.

There are about 20,000 free meditations on the Insight TImer app..  There are so many different types of meditation, and so many of them aren’t insisting you distance yourself from your thoughts like Headspace does. I think more people would get into meditation, if the clean, clinical, version wasn’t pushed on people as the only way.  Seriously, it is so vanilla, so sterile, it isn’t for me.  Give me the dirty, colourful, challenging, bright, fun meditations, that inspires me to know myself and to connect with my higher purpose. Let me play in the mud.

Meditation has been around for about 3500years. I suspect it is a lot older, if you have ever sat in front of a fire while camping and allowed yourself to be mesmerized by the flames you know that emptying of the mind has been part of us since the beginning of time. Oh the relief to take a break from your personality, unhook from your ego and to wash away the stress.

There are a lot of variations and types of meditation.

My favorite types

Affirmations - Affirmation Meditation is the practice of positive thinking and self-empowerment. An affirmation is anything repeated out loud or in thoughts which register in our subconscious mind. Effective affirmations are positive, personal, specific, and in the present tense. The aim is for thoughts to consume our awareness to manifests goals or changes in behavior

Shamanic - Shamanic Guided Meditation, or Shamanic journeys, is an ancient healing tradition. It involves connection with and guidance from spirits including ancestors, elders, gods, goddesses, spirit guides, power animals and angels. A journey focuses on using a spiritual connection to heal the mind, deal with external stress and understand the self and the world.

Chakra Meditations - Chakra meditation is a specialized form of meditation that targets blocked chakras. With proper chakra meditation, you can cleanse, clear, and balance your chakras

Mantra Meditations - Mantra Meditation practices the repetition of a word or sound to focus the mind and achieve stillness. In modern language, mantra has become to mean intention, but actually the sanskrit word can be broken down and translated into man (mind), and tra (transport or vehicle). In other words, a mantra is a vehicle for the mind, a powerful object of attention that can be used to enter a deep state of meditation.

Unguided meditation - Unguided meditation can be thought of as an individually directed experience, led solely by the meditator.  In an unguided meditation, the meditator is the one who decides what to focus on & what to visualize.

Daydreaming -  I am going to give a shout out to day dreaming. I know it isn’t officially a type of meditation, but how nice is it to receive downloads from the eather. Oh  and to play with ideas that are given to you when you aren’t forcibly trying to come up with shit.  Daydreaming is where the magic begins.  It is a shame we are discouraged as children to shut this skill down. If you are a follower of Abraham-Hicks, Daydreaming is quite possibly the most important thing you can do to live a life of grace and ease. To manifest wonder into your life.

My Practice.

I have been meditating consistently for a few years now.  I usually meditate twice a day, maybe 10 minutes in the morning and a 20 minute top up if I am feeling lost or overwhelmed, or stuck in the afternoon. On the weekends, I aim to do at least one  good 90 minute session.

After meditating consistently for a few months.  I started to get downloads - these are fully concepted packets of information, either an insight about myself, or a direction/ concept I should do.  These are so rad.  It's like tapping into another dimension and receiving important information you need to enhance your life journey. I would have never believed it to be possible.  I was extremely agnostic, and lost my connection to the world beyond my senses. Years of hard adulting, and shutting me down, and I have become extremely pragmatic and sensible about all things.  But wow, I now believe with all of my being that we are all part of a majestic oneness, and universal consciousness. Meditation connected me to my higher self, and to my spirit guides. It made me believe in magic.
